On the 4th of December the SAWYER project held its Workshop in Brussels to discuss deeply the results of its survey. The workshop involved 20 external experts in Circular Economy and in Furniture from across Europe. The aim was to better understand the impact of the Circular Economy related factors and instruments on the furniture sector and forecast their deployment in 2030.

Experts brainstormed on each of the legal and voluntary instruments and the other policies and strategies (21 factors and 49 aspects) previously identified as the key drivers of the transformation of the furniture sector toward a more circular economy. The outcomes will be used to design a forecasted scenario of the EU furniture sector in 2030 and thus allow to better understand which will be the impact of this key transition of sector toward a more Circular Economy on jobs, health and safety aspects and on skills and education needs.
